Aftercare

Post Care instructions for your Microbladed Brows:

PLEASE READ ALL

  • PLEASE NOTE: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.

  • Swelling and redness is minimal with most clients, and will disappear within 24-48 hours. In some cases it may last around 3 days, but will not prevent working or socializing. The treated area may feel a bit like a sunburn afterwards but there should only be minimal discomfort.

  • NO water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 10 days. You may shower normally just avoid the brow area.

  • 4-5 hours after the procedure, clean the area with sterile water and a cotton pad, gauze or q-tip and allow to air dry and apply a very small amount of the provided ointment.

  • Keep the tattooed area clean by rinsing with lukewarm water and pat dry with a disposable paper towel 3 times a day.

  • Avoid any kind of moisturizer, oil and Vaseline for the first 2 weeks. ONLY APPLY A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF THE PROVIDED OINTMENT IN THE MORNING AFTER CLEANING THE EYEBROWS WITH WARM WATER APPLY USING A DISPOSABLE COTTON SWAB. YOU MAY USE THE OINTMENT FOR THE FIRST 7 TO 14 DAYS.

  • Always wash hands thoroughly before tattooed area.

  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and premature pigment loss. IMPORTANT: ONCE THE FLAKES HAVE FALLEN OFF, A SHINY LAYER OF HEALING SKIN WILL COMPLETELY COVER THE HAIR STROKES. IT WILL APPEAR AS THOUGH THE EYEBROWS ARE GONE. WITHIN 1-2 WEEKS, THE HAIR STROKES WILL SLOWLY REAPPEAR AT A LIGHTER SHADE AS YOUR SKIN REGENERATES.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure.

  • Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days.

  • NO facials, botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.

  • The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. during this process your tattoo will soften and lighten. be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost. as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength and it is only after 6 weeks that your touch up/ adjustments can be done. Keep in mind that microbladed brows heal up to 30-50% softer than the initial color.

  • Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow up appointment.

Salt/Saline removal information

PLEASE READ ALL

  • The timing for a tattoo lightening procedure is important. Clients with special events, travel plans, or who work in an environment with the probability of high bacterial exposure should choose the timing for the lightening procedure so aftercare instructions do not conflict with these activities or workplace schedules.

  • All clients are required to complete a pigment lightening consent form indicating they do, or do not, have any allergies to the following ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum, Calendula Officinalis, Hydroxethyl Cellulose, Sodium Benzonate, Potassium Sorbate. If a client indicates an allergy to any of the aforementioned ingredients, they may be offered to purchase a new sealed container of LI-FT and consult with their physician for allergy testing. The diagnosis (results of the medically conducted allergy test) is to be provided to the technician and maintained in the client's file. If a client indicates an allergy to any of the ingredients, but cannot or will not pursue a physician conducted allergy test, the use of LI-FT is prohibited.

AFTERCARE

  • Dry healing has resulted in optimum results, however, if you are active in high-risk areas an occlusive wound dressing for several days is required to prevent bacterial invasion of the wound. Some high-risk areas would include but are not limited to:

  • Exercise Gyms

  • Schools

  • Hospitals

  • Home care facilities

  • High public traffic areas such as hotels, airports, grocery stores, etc.

  • For several hours, and in some instances longer, the wound may weep lymph blood and fluid. These fluids can be blotted off by applying pressure (no rubbing) with a slightly moist paper towel

  • The procedural area should be cleansed with a product such as Cetaphil or Cerave; gentle products without fragrance, acidic ingredients, etc.

  • Topical cosmetics may not be applied over the procedural area to diffuse or hide the appearance of the wound. Cosmetics may contain ingredients that are contraindicative to healing wounds, may contain bacteria, and also require removal which entails contact with the crusts of the tattoo lightened area.

  • Take measures to keep the tattoo lightened area dry when bathing. This is more difficult for body art tattoos. While showering, people who have had cosmetic tattoos lightened may turn their back to the shower spray and gently blot off any moisture with a paper towel.

  • Under no circumstances should the crusts that develop over the wound be removed. The crusts will become less noticeable with the natural exfoliation of the dead skin cells that are naturally replaced by the body during the healing process.

  • If any sign of infection is seen, they should consult their physician

Aftercare is very important in order to achieve a beautiful and lasting result.
